United for a Better Adelanto respects the privacy of individuals who visit our website, contact our organization, or voluntarily subscribe to our communications.
Information We Collect
This signup form collects voluntarily provided names, email addresses, mobile phone numbers, and communication preferences. SMS consent records include the date, time, signup source, affirmative opt-in status, and the exact consent disclosure/version. We have not added advertising trackers or website analytics; hosting and security providers may process technical logs needed to serve and protect the website.
How Information Is Used
Information you submit is used to respond to inquiries, provide requested updates, administer communications, maintain subscription preferences, facilitate legitimate organizational activities, and comply with applicable laws. Telephone numbers submitted through the SMS signup program will be used only for communications covered by the user’s consent.
Mobile Information and SMS Consent
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or other political campaigns for their independent marketing or promotional activities. Such information may be disclosed only to service providers assisting with the operation and delivery of our communications, subject to confidentiality and use restrictions, or when disclosure is required by applicable law or legal process. Service providers may use the information only to provide authorized services on behalf of United for a Better Adelanto.
Data Protection and Retention
We seek to use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. Website signup and consent records are stored privately in hosted storage. Access to the records page and exports is restricted to the committee’s authorized administrator. Records are not available to public visitors. Records will be retained only as reasonably necessary to provide requested communications, document consent, honor opt-outs, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Retention review and deletion are manual; the website does not automatically delete signup records. The committee reviews retention when the messaging program ends and keeps records only while needed for consent evidence, opt-out suppression, and applicable obligations.
Communication Preferences and Opt-Out
Subscribers may withdraw consent by replying STOP to a message and request help by replying HELP. Website use does not require SMS consent. Requests about personal information may be sent to the organization’s public contact email listed below.
Third-Party Services
Cloudflare Pages and its private R2 storage infrastructure process website signup records. Scale to Win will process subscriber information when the committee manually imports records for its messaging program. These technical providers may receive only information needed to carry out authorized services on our behalf, not for their independent marketing or promotional purposes. Legally required disclosures may also occur. Links to candidate websites lead to independently operated sites with their own policies. Website opt-ins are stored in private hosted storage. Transfer to the messaging provider is managed separately by the organization; submitting this form does not automatically send a text.
Changes to This Policy
Updates will appear here with a revised effective date when operations, technology, or applicable requirements change.
Trustee Area Lookup
Address searches are sent directly from your browser to the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoder after you request a lookup. The committee does not receive, store, or connect searched addresses or GPS coordinates to SMS subscriptions. Coordinate matching is performed in your browser. Census results may interpolate an address along a street range and are not official voting-address determinations.
Optional GPS access is requested only when you select Use My Location. The independently reconstructed trustee-area polygons and Leaflet files are served by this website. The U.S. Census Bureau processes requested address searches, and OpenStreetMap supplies basemap tiles; external services receive technical requests such as your IP address and, for map tiles, the map view. These services have their own privacy practices. Lookup results are informational and should be confirmed against official election records.
